Competition Puppy Level I for puppies 10 weeks to 5 months
Competition Puppy Level II for puppies over 5 months (available upon completion of
Level I)

Level I
This class does not teach basic control.
Lay foundation for novice, open and utility. Skills taught include tuck sits, heel position, back drops,
finishes, introduction to dumbbell, scent discrimination, jumping, signals and go-outs. Includes lots of games.
Level II
Continue with foundation work from Level I as your puppy grows. Focus on heeling, attention, fronts and
finishes, recalls, go-outs and more games.

Level I
Focus on animation, attention and precision for all breeds heading for the obedience ring. Work on your
handling skills, stand for exam, recalls, fronts, finishes and fun games to build your relationship with your dog. Attention
skills that start with stationary attention and build towards one lap of the novice ring.
Level II
Continuing with attention and heeling skills, stand for exam, handling skills, fronts, finishes and stays.
Teach your dog how to execute right, left and about-turns. Begin to teach "L" patterns to your dog.

Get prepared to trial with handling and proofing exercises. Know the rules (CKC, AKC, UKC)
and ring procedures. Formal run thrus on weeks 4 and 8.
Introduction to Open or Utility
Foundation work for both these classes, teaching the principle feature of each exercise.
Games are included for the dog and handler. Footwork and handling tips to keep your teamwork sharp.
Trial Ready Open or Utility
Get prepared for the ring with proofing and handling skills. Know the rules (CKC, AKC, UKC)
and ring procedures. Run thrus that can be videotaped if you wish.

Learn fun games to help with all levels of obedience and enhance your relationship with your dog.
Games help build drive, attention and animation.
Mixed Skills available upon completion of Attention Level II
Upon completion of Attention II, teach foundation skills for Open and Utility while continuing to work on
heeling skills, games and stays.

Learn the principle features of the excellent and versatility exercises along ith accompanying rules.

Build comfort over jumps. Learn footwork for crosses. Pattern training
for distance handling. Recognize lead legs and their importance. Stride adjustments

Advanced Jumpworks available upon completion of Jumpworks
Continue building on skills learned from Jumpworks and then start to apply them to complex sequences.
Advanced Agility available upon completion of Advanced Jumpworks
Sequence building, handling skills, path recognition and manipulation. Contact reinforcement.
Yellow Fever available upon completion of Advanced Agility
Focus on execution of contacts. Games. Motivational skills to make contacts fun.
Games available upon completion of Yellow Fever
Covers Gamblers, Snooker and other games. Strategy and rules.
Tune-In available upon completion of Games
Practice and apply skills learned in other levels to full courses. Develop teamwork. Learn to
read your dog.
